A Joke To Share...

A Chinese man walked into a bank in New York City and asked for the loan officer. He told the loan officer that he was going to China on business for 2 weeks and wanted to borrow $5,000.

The bank officer told him that the bank would need some form of security for the loan, so the Chinese man handed over the keys to a new Ferrari parked on the street in front of the bank. He produced his car's registration card and insurance cover note.

The Loan officer agreed to accept the car as collateral for the loan. The bank's president and its officers all enjoyed a good laugh at the Chinese forusing a $250,000 Ferrari as collateral against a $5,000 loan.

An employee of the bank then drove the Ferrari into the bank's underground garage and parked it there.

Two weeks later, the Chinese returned, repaid the $5,000 and the interest, which came to $15.41.

The loan officer said, "Sir, we are very happy to have had your business, and this transaction has worked out very nicely, but we are a little puzzled. While you were away, we'd checked you out and found that you are a multi-millionaire. What puzzles us is why you would bother to borrow $5, 000."

The Chinese replied,
“Where else in New York City can I park my car for 2 weeks for only $15.41 and expect it to be there safely when I return.”

Now who dare to say that the Chinese work hard not smart? Hahaha…..

Yes, u r right. We must always make use of our brains and think smart and get value for our money. Don't rush into deals especially those who come calling at ur house or thru the phone. Ask a lot of questions and evaluate first b4 agreeing to anything. Many a time we get cheated when we do not think long enough b4 we decide. Therefore it's always prudent to think wisely b4 we act. In the case of the Chinaman, he thinks smart to get value for his money. In my case, I use a prepaid card for my hp so I save on monthly service charge. I top up RM5.00 whenever I go outstation. I still have balance in my acc. bc I don't make many calls on my hp in Lipis. I always use my house phone. The RM5. topup allows me to make calls for 6 days. When the 6 days are over, I can still receive calls but not make calls. Lately I found out I can transfer my extra balance to another hp. So instead of topping up for my wife's hp. I can transfer RM10. to her hp and she can make calls for 8 days. The charge is 50c per transfer. Then later I can retransfer RM10. back to my hp and I can reactivate to make calls for another 8 days. In this way, I save some money. Of course, I would have to top up later when my balance runs out. This is only good for people like us who don't make a lot of unnecessary calls unlike the teens nowadays who spend most of the time on call (so to speak), talking on the phone the whole day. Whenever. I drive to KL, I would park my car at the LRT station and take the LRT to town and other parts of KL linked by LRT or Monorail. Even though I spend quite a sum travelling the LRT or MR, it's still cheaper and saved a lot of time. So whatever we do, we have to think smart and get the best deal.
